Oklahoma Attorney General

“I have recently been made aware of a market practice known as ’short selling’ and am amazed that it is legal.” Drew Edmondson, Oklahoma Attorney General, Los Angeles Times, December 18, 2003.

What were the people of Oklahoma thinking electing someone as embarrassing and uneducated as this character? How could someone who is an attorney general not know of something as basic as ’short selling’? Drew, we suggest that you do some heavy reading. We’ll be happy to give you some references for your edification if needed.

Start with the Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers and the U.S. Constitution. Once you have finished those, you can start of books about the financial markets.
