Only a Left Wing politician like Ms. Schakowsky would think that Americans exercising their First Amendment right to express opinions on issues of national importance is "despicable." Get a grip, ma'am.

I find it difficult to understand how anyone who has been elected can call the gathering of people to exercise their Constitutional right to free speech and assembly "despicable" and "shameful." Apparently she's not well versed in the history of our country, as that is exactly how it came to be the United States of America rather than remaining a set of colonies ruled by Britain. Sad. Perhaps those who are seeking election should have to pass the citizenship test that any foreign-born person seeking to become a U.S. citizen has to take before they can step on the bandwagon for that election.

Ms. Schakowsky obviously did not watch or listen to any of the tea parties, because while several did call for Mr. Obama to change his thinking, they all called for ALL of the government to change their way of thinking -- to recall whom they represent and to thus represent them. Again, sad that she would so blatantly misrepresent the gatherings of Americans passionate about the cause of freedom. Sad that she seems to think the Constitution not only allows, but calls for just such despicable and shameful assemblies.
