Virgin Mobile -”No privacy policy?”-sends me someone else’s information but doesn’t care.

From the “No Good Deed Goes Unpunished” file, Virgin Mobile decided to ignore their own privacy policy and start sending me “Chance’s” plan information for a phone number ((616) 821-7225) that was apparently activated on March 11, 2010.

After calling Virgin and them being unwilling to talk about the fact they were sending me all the information for the account since I was not the account holder – never mind the fact that they were emailing it to me already – I decided to call the account phone number to let them know Virgin Mobile was sending ME their information to my email address.

Two days later, I get a rude text message “Don’t call this number any more, it is a 13 year old’s number.” No, “thanks for letting us know.” No, “okay, we’ll talk to them.”

So, if you are Chance or Virgin Mobile, I’m not calling either of you again, don’t worry, but please stop having Virgin Mobile email me your information.

March 15: still getting updates on Virgin Mobile the account, but since I was asked to not call, I am not doing so. I tried Virgin Mobile one more time and they “apologized” to me, but they “can’t do anything” about sending me someone else’s account information since it is not my account. Well, duh, that is why I called you, Virgin Mobile. Great privacy protection from Virgin Mobile there. They were extremely unhelpful. I would suggest that companies gracefully attempt to handle customer representatives who can’t type email addresses correctly.

A proposal that would increase current tax credits from two to five percent of productions costs for shows considered “family friendly.” This would not include shows that featured “gay characters.”

Florida, how about being “family friendly” by lowering taxes for everyone? Come on, this is as stupid as judging someone by the color of their skin or the color of their eyes.

The “funny” thing is that this article says there are “14.9 million jobless Americans” and there are approximately 12-15 million ILLEGAL immigrants (some say 11 million, some say 20 million). You do the math. Legal immigration is what built the country, do we really want to make people who start out as criminals citizens? Or do we want people who are law-abiding citizens?

Obama ends “leave internet alone” policy

“The US government’s policy of leaving the Internet alone is over, according to Obama’s top official at the Department of Commerce.” Assistant Secretary Larry Strickling, The Register and see the NTIA presentation.

The internet is too powerful for governments that want to control the thoughts of their population to leave alone. Along with the extension of the Patriot Act (WashingtonPost.com), the Obama Administration arguing in Federal Court that there is no “reasonable expectation of privacy” on cell phones – funny, we missed the ACLU, EFF, and the press having conniptions about the Democrat controlled Congress and Democrat President signing the extension – Washington has a nice tight grip on the communications of the country.

But, it is nice to have “government oversight” over everything – you wouldn’t want to do something without permission would you?

Parasites vs Freedom debate today in Washington

The televised debate today between the parasites and those who want freedom will be taking place to day in Washington, DC. One can only hope that freedom prevails. If the “center” is between freedom and statism then who wants to be in the center? There is no “middle ground” between you and your enslavers. There is no middle ground between you and your destroyers.

One wonders why these people don’t want to take responsibility for themselves and expect to be treated as children who need to be taken care of by someone else.

Saying “no” is admirable if it is pro-liberty.

Saying “no” is a moral imperative to protect the freedom guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Saying “no” is admirable if it is pro-liberty. Compromising your principles when the result is a loss of freedom for the country is immoral and a violation of Congress’ oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
