Felipe Ramirez and Yeni Bentiz get it all wrong when quoted today.

Felipe Ramirez says "The irony of that statue [the Statue of Liberty], is that those poor and huddled masses are exactly the people who they don't want to come. ... there is a lot of xenophobia in the heartland, in the south."  Felipe, I hate to burst your bubble, but poor huddled masses are perfectly welcome.  It is LAW-BREAKING people that are not welcome.  People who are willing to follow the LAW, they are more than welcome, the law-breaking, illegals are NOT.

For Felipe Ramirez, it must be a difficult concept to understand, the United States is a nation of laws.  It is the foundation of society.

Thanks, James, but no thanks.  We'll keep our freedom, you can keep the control.  But Lovelock is correct when he states that:

Fudging the data in any way whatsoever is quite literally a sin against the holy ghost of science,.  I'm not religious, but I put it that way because I feel so strongly. It's the one thing you do not ever do. You've got to have standards.

This is one reason why the following is true.  Government science is an oxymoron, and free science is redundant.  When you are behold to government, everything becomes political.  Everything.  From science to text book selection.  Freedom from government means freedom to decide for yourself, and if someone else doesn't like it, too bad, they can decide for themselves.  It seems kind of obvious, but many people have forgotten it.

Racist Frank Rick at the New York Times thinks its about skin color, not ideas!  Unfortunately Mr. Rich has bought into the most odious, idiotic, and heinous of the theories of slavery and the Jim Crow era - the one drop theory.  This says that anyone with "one drop" of "non-white' blood is not white.  So, President Obama has to be "black" or "African American" and any criticism has to do with skin color, sexual preference (in the case of Barney Frank) or gender (in the case of Nancy Pelosi).

At least Frank Rich is admitting his racism more openly now.  Mr. Rich, there is help for racists, please get some:  your racism is about as stupid as believing that eye color and hair color matter.  And that there is any "race" except "human."

“Liberty or Death? No thanks! Screw the liberty, just give me health insurance!”

On the 235th anniversary of one of the greatest calls for liberty - "Give me Liberty, or give me Death!" - the President of the United States signed one of the biggest curtailments of human freedom in United States history.  The irony may have been lost on Washington leadership today, and perhaps the quotation from Washington, DC, today would have been "Liberty or death? Why so extreme? Screw the liberty, just give me health insurance!"

Remember this quotation, it is all the more relevant today:

"It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace — but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? 300 million people chained at the neck to each other over health insurance.

Senator Harry Reid is hitting back at ads that claim that Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, is using slave labor at home to build the Gulf city-state. And they state: "Slave labor in Dubai. Union labor in Las Vegas. And both the slave bosses and the union bosses want Harry Reid re-elected. Go figure."

Slave labor outside the US? That is small potatoes compared to what happens when you can have 300 million people chained at the neck to each other over health insurance.  But it leaves Reid and others as the masters over everyone else, with power over life and death.  Just want the power-hungry politicians want - dependent parasites.

Census form is all about race! Typical racists in Washington, worrying about skin color instead of the person

Got my Census form today and the majority of the questions deal with race. Are we "American"? "Human"? "White" (looks more pink to me)? Divide and conquer is the method being used.

And why are they breaking Asian and Hispanic down into all these categories? Why is Colombian or Korean or Japanese more valid than Irish or German or French or English or Italian or Irish or Scottish or Swiss or American? Are "Whites" just inter-changable? What about people who's ancestors came from Afghanistan? India?

I thought we were all American. I guess not, some people are still "Chinese" or "Japanese" or "Vietnamese". "Whites," well, they are just "whites".

Skin color or what portion of the Earth your ancestors came from are about as useful as eye color and hair color - except to racists.

So much for being "post-racial." I've never owned slaves, neither did my ancestors, neither did they sell their comrades into slavery, but who cares?

How about: I am part of the human race, from Earth. Sounds much more uniting that all the rest of the b.s. coming out of Washington.  It is called "racial profiling" when it is done at the airport.

Shows with gays could lose Florida tax credit

A proposal that would increase current tax credits from two to five percent of productions costs for shows considered "family friendly."  This would not include shows that featured "gay characters."

Florida, how about being "family friendly" by lowering taxes for everyone?  Come on, this is as stupid as judging someone by the color of their skin or the color of their eyes.
